In Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, when the digestive function within your body is weak or having issues, all sorts of other symptoms can manifest. This is because all plants contain phytotoxins in varying amount, and this, over time can cause the body to break down. Plants are filled with toxins to ward off animals from eating them. Some of these phytotoxins and defense chemicals include lectins alkaloids, polypeptides, amines, glycosides, oxalates, resins, cyanide, plus hormone disrupters and nutrient blockers. Plants are medicinal and should be used as such. Animal products loaded with protein, fat and bioavailable nutrients is what properly fuels the human body without causing it harm.
